One pack comes with 4 tampon-like gel filled applicators, each which lasts for 3 days (12 total days for a pack). If you wear tampons, applying the gel is just as easy-- insert, deposit, remove plastic applicator. It totally calms down all the discomforts associated with bacterial imbalance. The problem is that after the application expires, somewhere around the 4th or 5th day all the symptoms will return unless you reapply the gel. Most drug stores sell them for between $16-19 (at least in my region) which can get pretty expensive considering that you'd need two boxes to make the whole month using them consistently. That can average from $33-$40 p/month for 24 calendar days. It would be wonderful if continual usage would improve the longterm vaginal pH over time but this product makes no such claims. I've found that vaginal vitamin c tablets work wonders, so much better than this product. I've been taking the product as directed for less than two months and it is working. I used to get a yeast infection every time I even drank a glass of wine (sucks to be me because I love wine). I modified my diet, did everything I read about and after a year and a half the slightest infraction (one glass of wine or a dessert) would still cause a yeast infection. Now, after being on the yeastrol for about six weeks, I drink wine every so often and am OK. Please note, this product did not seem like it was working in the first month or so. I have been using this over a year and was excited to find it on Amazon at a cheaper price. I had chronic gas and irratable bowel syndrome until I started using this consistantly. I used to have to go to the bathroom after almost every meal but life is much better now. I still have gas but it seems like a much more normal amount and not excessive. I can go to the bathroom on a normal schedule most of the time now. I usually dont get the bloating and cramps like I used to on an almost daily basis. The price is very competitive also. I noticed that my digestion track is feeling much less irritated, less gass, etc. I have had problems with irratable bowel syndrome since I was a kid but couldnt really afford perscription medicines and was nervous about the side effects that my doctor told me about in the perscription medicines. I like this product so far but found that I need to use it regulary to get good results. My IBS is getting less and less frequent so I am having far less of those embarrassing trips to the bathroom when visiting friends. I think it is worth the money but I wont try to speak for others.
