After trying several other products, like this one, I can say this one works best for me. I am sticking with it. Usually I am always on the verge of an upset stomach but it stopped with this product. It says to take once a day but I take 2 a day,one in the morning and one at night. In very small print it says it needs to be kept refrigerated once opened. This review is from: Nature's Bounty Probiotic Acidophilus, 100 Capsules (Pack of 4) (Health and Beauty) I've taken acidophilus for years, usualy buying it out of the fridge at the local health foods store. It's always been super effective for me. I really credit acidophilus with keeping my system healthy and happy. Upsides of these pills: - Fantastic price, best I've ever found. - Easy Dosage (they reccomend 1/day. I take 4/day on Dr's orders) Downsides: - Funny taste. (Be sure to have lots of water handy when you take them. The capsuls are kind of sticky and taste funny.) - Not sure these are as effective as the health store 'fridge kind. I've noticed I'm just not feeling the same after taking these for a few weeks. - If you aren't used to taking acidopholis, it can be easy to forget. You have to be sure to keep them in the refridgerator at home! Not with your other vitimins and supplements. The bottle says this in pretty tiny type. If you've never tried acidopilus before, these are an inexpensive way to give it a shot... This review is from: Nature's Bounty Probiotic Acidophilus, 100 Capsules (Pack of 4) (Health and Beauty) Mostly I use probiotics for my dogs (who have IBS and EPI). I tried Probios� 180-D Dispersable Powder 240g for a month (I ordered 5-pound bottle) but it didn't work as well as this product. I also tried other "human" probiotics - again, didn't work as well as this one. After being on this one for three months, neither had an "episode" of diarrhea so I'm going back to this. They are both medium sized dogs (around 60-75 pounds) and I gave them two pills each everyday accompanying their meals (they feed twice daily).
