Literally overnight the discomfort was gone and healing had started. After having bad side effects from Monistat I switched to Gyne-Lotrimin. Gyne-Lotrimin is hard to find locally, so I will be sure to purchase Gyne-Lotrim 3 Day from Amazon. Clotrimazole is usually only available as a 1% formulation when marketed for athlete's foot or ringworm. I want 2%, because my daughter would get frequent yeast infections from her medications and they are difficult to treat. For her, I toss the applicators and just use the cream externally. The 2% formulation is stronger and I find more effective. It works quickly and I see improvement by the next day.I have also used this product as intended for myself and it works as advertised. Personally, I like cream better than suppository because of the instant soothing sensation. Only three days of treatment versus seven of the standard version. I buy the three day treatment whenever I can find it.
